Our thrift store sells a lot of furniture and we need more muscle to help move it around.
This volunteer position will help
- move furniture onto and off of the sales floor
- help load furniture purchases in customer vehicles
- unload donations and bring into the store
- throw trash into the dumpster
Help needed on any of these days...
Tuesday afternoon, Thursday afternoon, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
PLEASE NOTE: Ideally this volunteer will commit to 3-4 hours once or twice a week for 2months or longer.

Description
Every year, over 300 at-risk youth enroll in Holy Family Ministries' K-8 school, pre-school, after-school program, and summer enrichment program. Students live in Chicago's most challenged communities and enter Holy Family with a wide range of abilities. Yet, by the time they graduate 8th grade, they are accepted into college-prep high schools across Chicagoland.
Holy Family's resale store, Lucille, will generate new revenue for its youth programs. Proceeds will enable Holy Family to grow its programming and continue to offer its families an affordable tuition based on income. Approximately 75% of the cost of education at Holy Family comes from the support of generous donors and all programs are offered "first-come, first-served" without regard to religion, race, previous academic achievement, or ethnicity.
