Family

The Ronald McDonald House in Bangor is seeking volunteers to assist with regular and occasional errands to support our facility. Errands may be weekly, monthly or occasional depending on what works for your schedule. Most opportunities are very flexible.

Tasks include bringing tab tops to the recycling center, picking up or dropping off donations, and bringing Clynk bags to Hannaford. Volunteers must have a valid driver's license and use of their own vehicle.

In accordance with RMHC Maine’s duty to provide and maintain a workplace that is free of known hazards, and to ensure the safest and healthiest possible environment for each other and the families we serve, we require staff and volunteers to be fully vaccinated for Covid. Protocols are in place for Covid including masking while in the House, social distancing, and enhanced cleaning procedures.

Description

Ronald McDonald House Charities, a non-profit, 501 (c) (3) corporation, creates, finds and supports programs that directly improve the health and well being of children. Its grassroots-driven programs offer help where children need it most - right in their own communities. RMHC makes an immediate, positive impact on children's lives through its global network of local Chapters in 52 countries and regions and its three core programs: the Ronald McDonald House, Ronald McDonald Family Room and Ronald McDonald Care Mobile. These programs provide a bridge to accessible health care and allow families more time together, which helps in the healing process. RMHC and its global network of local Chapters also have hundreds of millions of dollars in grants and program services to children's programs around the world.
