Provides congregate care for people displaced as a result of a disaster.
Work with a large diverse group of people displaced as a result of natural/man-made disaster.
Be familiar with the requirements of functional needs within a shelter in accordance with Red Cross/Americans with Disability Act rules.
Clean and organize a shelter.
Assist with the setting up/closing of an American Red Cross shelter.
Assist in the registration process, during the opening and closing of a shelter.
Assist in the Safe and Well registration process
Ability to work well with others.
Medical lifting techniques.
Ability to lift 20 pounds repeatedly
Prior experience working in nonprofit/governmental shelters is useful.
Hotel experience is useful.
