Join our Legislative Forum Team
- Show-up in support of renewable energy and energy efficiency in Iowa
- Show-up in support of workplace giving through payroll deductions
Showing Your Support
When the Iowa legislature holds forums in your area, attend at least 2 legislative forums in-a-row in your area as follows:
- When provided stickers to place on issues you would like the legislative panel to discuss, place your sticker(s) on Renewable Energy and workplace giving. The issues that receive the most interest by attendees are what the legislative representatives will address at the NEXT forum.
- Submit questions about specific bills, based on information posted on https://irenew.org/resources/action-alert-contact-representative and questions you may have after reading the actual bill from the links provided
- Attend the next forum in your area, repeating 1. and 2.
- If renewable energy and workplace giving received the most interest at the prior forum, the representatives will be asked asked questions pertaining to these issues. If not, they will be asked questions about other issues that had more interest.
- This is why we need to grow a team who regularly attends the forums.

Mission Statement
Our mission is to make renewable energy the primary source of energy in Iowa. Founded in 1992, The Iowa Renewable Energy Association (I-Renew) is a volunteer-run non-profit organization. In addition to educational activities, we partner with other non-profit groups in the state to support renewable energy development.
Description
Wanna lead Iowa toward a future where our primary energy sources are clean, renewable and putting Iowans to work? Volunteer with I-Renew.
Through outreach, demonstrations, and hands-on workshops, I-Renew helps Iowans understand how natural and renewable resources offer energy alternatives to power our homes, businesses, vehicles and cities. I-Renew is offering multiple volunteer opportunities for Iowans who
- Can commit 5-10 hrs a month to help fill one of our roles
- Understand the link between sustainability and long-term profitability
- Have a proven track record of producing results
