Uhlhorn Day Services is a new adult day service providing services to seniors and adults with disabilities. The program has an ongoing volunteer opportunity to provide transportation to those individuals who may not have a caregiver or family member to bring them to the service, or take them home, and may not be able to use public transportation. This volunteer may also pick up and deliver lunch items from other ShelterCare locations.

Volunteers providing this service will be giving back to their community by helping individuals get out of their homes and make it to a safe place where they have the opportunity to improve their quality of life. Volunteers will also gain experience working with non-profit agencies and individuals with various disabilities.

Applicants for this position must pass a DHS criminal background check, possess a valid driver license, and be eligible to drive agency vehicles. May require lifting up to 50lbs and requires the ability to use agency passenger vans and wheelchair lift.

Please apply online at sheltercare.org.

If you have any questions, please contact Mathew Loyd ( mloyd@sheltercare.org or 541-686-1262).
