ORGANIZATION: CIEE: Council on International Educational Exchange

As someone who cares a lot about your community, you can bring an international perspective to it-while giving a young student a life-changing experience.

When you host an international exchange student through the CIEE High School Study USA program, you help open minds and create opportunities for engagement that can strengthen your school and community alike.

CIEE partners with hundreds of families like yours and brings:

  • Reliability and expertise: With 65 years of experience, we’ll match your family with the right student from our pool of applicants
  • Local support: As your local coordinator, I live in your community-so you always have someone to turn to for immediate guidance
  • Peace of mind: All CIEE students have full travel insurance in case of an emergency or medical need-to give you confidence and eliminate hassles

Host families receive a stipend to help offset the costs of hosting a student. CIEE makes all this possible and very seamless-at every step of the process, 24/7. Learn more about CIEE and how fulfilling it is to be a host family>

Currently we have two students who will be attending Xavier High School starting in August. Xinyi is a fifteen year old girl from China, who loves to play volleyball and says that math and physics are her favorite subjects. Athibodee is a sixteen year old boy from Thailand, who loves hiking and martial arts. This will be their second year in the US, so they have strong English skills and are acclimated to US culture.

We are offering a $500 referral, per student, for recommending a family who hosts. Our information is below, please message me with any questions or start a host family application at https://beacon.ciee.org/signupsignin
