Project Summary:

MTPA is an established non-profit organization in Annapolis, MD with plans to develop and construct, in two-phases, a 65,000sq. ft. performance theatre and conference center.

Mission:

MTPA is creating a sustainable world-class performing arts and conference center, offering premier artistic programming, innovative and inclusive arts education, and a unique cultural venue for the greater Annapolis Region and the state of Maryland.

Responsibilities of Director of Development:

Fund Development

  • Grow a major gifts program including identification, cultivation and solicitation of major donors.

Strategic Planning and Fund Management

  • Create, implement and evaluate a diversified annual development plan with clearly defined goals, objectives, timelines and tactics.
  • Research and identify grants and funding prospects, including grants from corporate, government and foundation sources. Prepare grant proposals and reports.
  • Provide progress reports to the Board of Directors (includes quarterly revenue metrics and evaluations of processes related to fundraising).

Donor Cultivation/Management & Prospect Management

  • Create, plan and manage all MTPA fundraising campaigns.
  • Meet prospective donors and supporters on a continual basis to establish effective communications and raise funds.
  • Create and steward a major gifts portfolio.
  • Oversee fundraising tracking system and constituent database (Wealth Engine & eTapestry).

Marketing and Communications

  • As the representative and spokesperson for MTPA, participate in public appearances and speaking engagements.
  • Sustain and oversee online communication (e-mails, social media posts, etc.) and calendar for development related activities.

Description

MC3 is a 5013c non-profit performing arts organization located in the heart of Annapolis. The organization is run by two-full time employees and several committed volunteers and board members. Currently, MC3 is ramping up for a Capital Campaign to raise the funds to build the 65,000 square-foot planned cultural arts center the middle of historic downtown Annapolis.
