Organizational Overview
Coaching Corps harnesses the power of organized sports by providing trained coaches as a transformative vehicle of change to improve health, education, and social outcomes for kids living in underserved communities. By mobilizing and training thousands of volunteer coaches we provide kids with consistent, caring adults as role models and mentors.
Position Overview
Coaching Corps is seeking a hard-working, mission-driven, outgoing intern to join our fast-paced Program Team, serving the San Diego area. This intern will have the opportunity to gain experience in community outreach, volunteer engagement, data and program management.
In addition, all Coaching Corps interns will receive sports-based youth development training and will be offered ongoing professional development opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside Regional Manager to create and implement region specific recruitment plans
- Assist Recruitment Manager with daily tasks and special projects, such as recruitment calls, data input, and coach request management using Salesforce
- Grow Coaching Corps’ presence in new and existing markets through recruitment events in both the community and at local colleges
- Develop and implement communication and social media strategies to promote the Coaching Corps brand
- Provide day-of administrative support at Coaching Corps trainings
Qualifications
- Interest in sports-based youth development, community outreach, and/or social impact
- Excellent organizational, administrative, and time management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with MS Office (specifically Excel) and the Google Apps suite
- Knowledge of Salesforce preferred, but not required

Commitment
- Serve for at least one semester
- 10 hours/week. Willing to work with your schedule
