ORGANIZATION: Dreams for Schools

At Dreams for Schools our mission is to inspire students to have a love for STEM. We equip them with the skills needed to become the critical thinkers, creative leaders and technologists of tomorrow. By volunteering with Dreams for Schools, you will be supporting a generation that will be at the head of one of the fastest growing fields.


Photography volunteers help us capture those special moments that our students cherish. Photographers will be asked to take headshots, team photos, general attendee and event photos, and photos of the student's presentations.

Qualifications: Previous experience in photography and the willingness to work at a free or discounted rate.

Description

Dreams for Schools (DFS) was founded with the vision to make science, technology, engineering, the arts, and math (STEAM) education approachable and accessible for all. DFS advances education equity by bridging gaps in STEAM education, with an emphasis on computer science (CS), by working with a range of community stakeholders through programs that would not otherwise be available to our clients.

DFS' primary programs include:

  1. STEAM Curriculum Development
  2. K-12 STEAM Classes
  3. Vocational Opportunities for STEAM Higher Ed Students
  4. Professional Development for Educators
  5. Scholarships for K-12 students in DFS Classes and STEAM Higher Ed Students working as DFS instructors
  6. Community Outreach & STEAM Events
Volunteers are a critical part of Dreams for Schools and help assemble STEAM projects and kits for our students!
