Special Olympics Louisiana is hosting its 2018 State Fall Classic October 20th-21st. Athletes with intellectual disabilities from across the state of Louisiana will come together to compete in Softball, Horseshoes, and Aquatics events. Softball and Horseshoes will take place at Pelican Park, Carencro, LA. Aquatics will take place at the Robicheaux Center, Lafayette, LA.
Volunteers duties include registration, timers, scorekeepers, awards, meal prep, and other operational duties as well as to help cheer on the athletes as they compete for medals (Fans in the Stands)!

Special Olympics is the world's largest public health organization serving people with intellectual disabilities. Special Olympics Louisiana offers over 100 sporting events and training camps to accommodate the wide range of athletic interests demonstrated by its athletes. Athletes are divided to compete against others of similar gender, age, and ability. Special Olympics Louisiana does not charge a fee to athletes (or their families) to train or compete.
