Southern Care Hospice - Daphne
The services you will give as a Hospice volunteer will profoundly improve the quality of our patient's lives. Simply holding a patient's hand can ease their mind and comfort their spirit. You can read, sing, watch TV, and share funny stories with patients. You can run errands for patients or provide respite for the caregiver.
Through our Be Remebered Program, volunteers will be trained to collect, organize, and format patients legacys. This will then be given to the patient and their families/ loved ones to keep.
Volunteering takes no advanced medical training. It can be as simple as reading to, or spending time with a patient a few hours a week/month. It is small deeds of kindness that so profoundly enhance the lives of our patients and those who love them.
Our volunteers are thoroughly trained and supported in the skills they need for the volunteer role.
We serve patients from Spanish Fort all the way to Fort Morgan and beyond.
