ORGANIZATION: Open Paths Counseling Center

Open Paths Counseling Center has a wonderful opportunity for professionals who believe that access to quality affordable mental health should be a right for all and not a privilege reserved for those with insurance or financial means.

If this describes you, please consider submitting yourself for consideration as member of our Board of Directors. Highly desirable skillsets, knowledge, and attributes include:

  • High financial management acumen
  • Accountant / CPA
  • Psychiatrist / Psychologist with an emphasis on community psychology
  • Professionals with deep understanding of LatinX, Immigrant, BIPOC, AAPI, QTPOC and LGBTQ++ communities
  • Fluent in Spanish is a benefit, but not required
As a board member, you, along with your fellow directors, are responsible for providing the strategic guidance and oversight to the organization, including but not limited to:
  • Determining the mission and organizational strategy
  • Fiduciary oversight
  • Advocating and fundraising on behalf of the organization
  • Lending your professional expertise to the organization

Mission Statement

Open Paths Counseling Center’s mission is to meet the evolving mental health
needs of the community through quality counseling for individuals and families at affordable fees; free therapy programs for at-risk children and youth in local schools; and a highly respected therapist training program. We fulfill our mission by removing the three most common barriers to mental health services - financial barriers, geographic barriers, and cultural barriers - and by providing culturally-affirming, trauma-informed therapy.

Description

Open Paths currently serves men, women and children who struggle with depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, domestic violence, and other concerns.
