Sack Lunches for Our Casa Paloma Women

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: The Primavera Foundation

Groups, All Ages
Monday-Friday - For 15-20 Women

Make sack lunches for our women participants at Primavera's Casa Paloma Women's Hospitality Center. This safe space is for women only who are experiencing homelessness. We offer hearty sack lunches to these women and we are in need of volunteers to purchase lunch materials, make sandwiches, compile sack lunches, and drop them off at Primavera. We will take any number of lunches you are willing to donate - we try to have 15-20 lunches daily.

A sack lunch should include:
* two (2) plain meat and cheese sandwiches (all condiments separated)
* one (1) piece of fruit (oranges and apples hold up the best)
* one (1) bag of chips, crackers, or pretzels
* one (1) granola bar, cookie, or brownie, etc.

Mission Statement

The Primavera Foundation provides pathways out of poverty through safe, affordable housing, workforce development, and neighborhood revitalization.

Description

Each year, our programs impact more than 8,000 individuals and families living in Southern Arizona. For many men, women, and families who are homeless, the first step to getting off the streets is connecting with us. Through partnerships with volunteers, neighborhoods, and a wide variety of community-based organizations, businesses, and public entities; we offer four areas of support:

SURVIVAL - People in need find immediate relief and shelter through our Homeless Intervention and Prevention emergency services programs (drop-in centers, shelters, Project Action for Veterans, rent and utility assistance, and rapid re-housing) as they recover from economic crisis and are assisted with acquiring the information and skills needed to live independently and offset future crises.

STABILITY - Participants transition to a stable lifestyle by providing safe, affordable rental housing and steady employment through our Primavera Works Social Enterprise.

SECURITY - Financial education, asset-building services, and homeownership opportunities are available for participants seeking long-term financial empowerment.

SUSTAINABILITY - Committed to social and economic justice, we strengthen resident leadership and integrate community building and engagement activities in targeted areas to revitalize neighborhoods.
