Volunteer Phil Cyr holds his son Brandon Cyr's flag at the Marine Corps Marathon. Volunteers can stand alongside Gold Star family members, Active Duty members and other civilian supporters on the line!

wear blue: run to remember creates a living memorial to honor the service and sacrifice of the American military as over 25,000+ runners pass through our blue mile. You will be asked to stand and hold an American flag bearing the name of a fallen service member for the duration of the marathon. You may bring a folding chair if necessary. Light morning refreshments are provided to the volunteers and you will be given a volunteer wear blue: run to remember T-shirt if you do not have one. sacrifice of the American military.

wear blue seeks to (1) act as a support network, (2) serve as a living memorial, and (3) bridge the gap between military and civilian communities.
