Special Spaces is a national, not-for-profit organization that creates dream bedrooms for children with cancer. Special Spaces transforms the child's existing bedroom into a space that reflects his or her spirit. Whether it’s princess pretty, superhero strong or a teen retreat theme, a team of volunteers come s together to make the child's vision a reality. We change lives..... One Child. One Room. If you have interior design skills (degree not required), are a team leader and have a desire to make a difference in the lives of children, WE NEED YOU! The Illinois Chapter is one of the strongest in the country, but still growing because there are so many more children who deserve dream bedrooms! We are looking for volunteer interior designers who will be leading teams to create unique dream bedroom makeovers.
