Quick Overview: The LA Phil is celebrating its 100th birthday by throwing an epic free 8-mile street party, showcasing the creative and community spirit of Los Angeles. The LA Phil is partnering with CicLAvia to produce a temporary car-free day that transforms streets into safe spaces for thousands of people to explore the city by foot, bike, and other forms of transport. Plus music from LA’s best musicians, art, dance, food trucks, and kid-friendly fun.

CicLAvia Hub Volunteers assist with activities at or near one of the hubs. These activities include:

• Providing information to CicLAvia participants;
• Asking participants to dismount, slow down, or follow other traffic instructions related to hubs;
• Signing participants up to CicLAvia's mailing list and raffle drawing; and
• Assisting CicLAvia staff with managing the merchandise and materials at Hubs.

Broader Program Description: With CicLAvia, you have the opportunity to invest in your community and also in communities around Los Angeles. We close off streets to cars, and open them to pedestrians - so people can walk, bike, run, play, and reconnect with their neighborhood.

Impact: As a CicLAvia volunteer, you are a catalyst for positive change in our communities, while promoting inclusivity and the quality of life in Los Angeles.

Requirements: Hub Volunteers must be comfortable with light to moderate physical activity. You may be required to stand throughout your shift. This is an outdoor activity, and CicLAvia suggests dressing appropriately with sun protection and comfortable shoes.

Accessibility: CicLAvia volunteer opportunities are open to all people ages 15+ with all levels mobility.
