This is a great opportunity to provide the joy of music to those who are socially isolated and face memory loss challenges/have special needs. Volunteers love seeing the affect music has on changing the mood and triggering positive memories in folks who don't often get to experience such things in their day-to-day life.
The Retired & Senior Volunteer Program of Washtenaw County is seeking a volunteer who is at least 55 years old to provide musical entertainment to enrich the lives of individuals living in Ann Arbor and surrounding areas. Play live music, or help those with memory loss challenges access their favorite tunes.
Opportunities are available seven days a week and on holidays. Schedules are flexible. Settings include health care facilities, adult day programs, shelters, and others.
Entertainers are expected to bring their own instrument to some sites. Please contact us for further details.
Must be age 55+. Please email rsvp@csswashtenaw.org or call 734.712.4325.
