Seeking volunteers that are compassionate and caring.
Do you have a desire to serve others? Working with individuals at the end of life can be a heartfelt experience. Come join a great team and make a difference in someone's life!
Avalon Hospice is in great need of Volunteers who are interested in visiting with Hospice patients. We also have office/clerical opportunities as well.
Support Services May include:
- Visiting patients at home, Assisted Living or Skilled Nursing Facility
- Providing companionship and a listening ear
- Reading a story
- Painting nails or brushing hair
- Giving a hug or playing cards
- Providing relief for a few hours while the family rests or runs errands
- Light housekeeping
- Delivering supplies
- Office/Clerical
- North/South Side Chicago
- Berwyn/Cicero/Riverside
- Oak Park/Lagrange
- Bridgeview/Maywood
- Elmwood Park/Melrose Park
