  • Do you want to make a meaningful difference in your community?
  • Do you want to help students achieve their goals and improve their lives?

We’re looking for patient, friendly, and enthusiastic individuals to tutor ESL, Language Arts, and Math* students in the mornings and evenings.

Volunteer tutors are a vital part of Sequoia Adult School’s mission, advancing the classroom learning of adult learners in the English as a Second Language, High School Diploma, and High School Equivalency programs.

Leave a lasting impact in the lives of motivated adults looking to further their education and gain new work opportunities.

Language Arts and Math tutoring sessions are available in the mornings, afternoons, and evenings. Tutoring sessions are being held over Zoom and in person at the school. ESL classes are in the evenings (6:30-9:15pm).

*For our High School Equivalency Program, we are looking for Spanish-speaking Language Arts and Math Tutors to help students pass the GED in Spanish.
