Mission Statement
HELP Humane is a 501(c)(3) corporation committed to ending the suffering and killing of homeless, abused and neglected animals by rescuing, sheltering, rehabilitating and seeking forever families for these animals and educating the public on proper pet guardianship and the importance of spaying and neutering. HELP Humane sanctuaries the animals that are deemed un-adoptable either due to the animal?s physical or psychological circumstances.
Description
HELP Humane was incorporated in 1996 and received non-profit status in March 1998. We are composed of a hard working group of dedicated volunteers who until 2005 worked solely out of foster homes. Even without a facility we took in over 200 animals in 2004 and provided them with love, shelter, food, and vet care until loving permanent homes were found. We are a true no-kill shelter.
HELP established a facility at 511 Main Street in Belton, Missouri in 2005. We are now located at 17122 Bel Ray Place where HELP continues to maintain its reputation for total dedication and quality of care.
In addition to its shelter work, HELP continues its work with feral cats--trapping and transporting the cats to and from the veterinary clinic where they are vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and then returned into the neighborhoods they know as home.
