ORGANIZATION: Bay Area Tutoring Association

Bay Area Tutoring Association (BATA) is seeking an experienced Development Director who can help us increase our annual budget to accommodate our growing, in-demand story-based educational services/programs and movement-building work. This is a new, part-time , senior-level position.

1. Fundraising & Development Facilitation and development of annual Fundraising Plans, and project management of all fundraising activities, including foundation fundraising, special events, Lead and facilitate the BATA fundraising team, including coordinating the Board fundraising committee, relationship management, and communications, including planning and coordinating funder briefing events when applicable Lead process for writing grant proposals and reports, including some grant writing Grants management, including tracking deadlines and deliverables . Manage major gifts and grassroots fundraising programs Represent BATA’s mission in meetings with funders and donors, and at networking events Manage fundraising-related coordination, including prep & scheduling for Directors .

2. Resource Management Manage the development of organizational annual budget, ensuring a transparent and inclusive resource allocation process based on team-set annual priorities .Lead Revenue-tracking meetings/processes to ensure income goals are met

Mission Statement

The mission of the Bay Area Tutoring Association is to develop an academic tutoring workforce for the support of Common Core Math, Literacy, Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), STEM, Computer Science intervention and enrichment programs and services. We collaborate with parents, teachers, educational leaders, school sites, districts, CBO's, non-profits, foundations and other organizations for the development of growth mindsets and life-long learners of Bay Area students in grades K thru 12.

Description

The Bay Area Tutoring Association is a dynamic academic support and enrichment 501c(3) organization designed to complement our education system. It is comprised of a collective of educators, tutors, parents, students, community members, grass roots organizations and business leaders with a shared desire to invest in the future prosperity of the San Francisco Bay Area through the facilitation of student academic development, parent empowerment and quality extended learning programs.

Our core pillars are tutor training, educational programs and services, parent and student awareness. We strongly believe a trained, properly equipped and confident tutor can be a critical component to the life success of anyone, especially a child in need of academic support. We also believe parent and student awareness increase opportunity and equity for all. Every employee, contractor and volunteer affiliated with the Bay Area Tutoring Association is required to perform with integrity and adhere to ethical standards beyond reproach.
