The biggest movement in art is very small.

Community Support Advocates will be providing supplies for young artists to create their very own Artist Trading Card (ATC)- which are miniature works of art meant to be traded with other artists. We encourage visitors to make up to 3 ATCs and then challenge them to trade at least 1 with another visitor or friend. The intention is to meet and connect with their community, as well as have a unique memento of the Iowa State Fair.

Here is a short YouTube Video that can give you an overview of ATC movement in the art community.

Volunteers will be in charge of maintaining a creative work space and laminating the finished project. Responsibilities include: organizing art supplies, explaining concept of the Artist Trading Cards, providing encouragement or inspiration to artists, and laminating cards.

BONUS! As a volunteer you will receive a ticket to enter the fair! We will be announcing a Packet Pickup time where all volunteers can grab their tickets, fair information, and Tshirts.
