Dinosaur Discovery Day Specialist

Friends of Dinosaur Ridge is hosting a special event for Girl Scouts also called Dinosaur Discovery Day. Volunteers help in a variety roles: geology & paleontology interpretation on Dinosaur Ridge, visitor activities at the Visitor Center including track painting, gold panning, fossil sifting, etc. Additional volunteers are needed to help with set-up and tear-down, orienting visitors, directing parking, registration etc. No experience is necessary for most of these volunteer roles. Bring some friends and volunteer together!

The mission of Dinosaur Ridge is to preserve the paleontologic, geologic, and historic resources on Dinosaur Ridge, Triceratops Trail, and outlier sites in the Golden-Morrison Fossil Area National Natural Landmark and to educate the public about these resources.

Description

Dinosaur Ridge is a non-profit outdoor museum with over 300 dinosaur footprints and dozens of dinosaur bones still in place from the Mesozoic, the Age of the Dinosaurs. Dinosaur Ridge programs are run by volunteers like you! Whether you are looking for a long term opportunity or short term, Dinosaur Ridge has volunteer opportunities for everyone!
