Hi-Hope Service Center provides quality services that empower adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to define and live a meaningful life. To accomplish this, we try to give our clients access to a rich variety of activities. A few months ago, we were lucky to have a professional comedian lead a series of improv comedy classes the ultimately culminated in a short performance. Our people had a blast with the activity and want to do it again.
We are searching for an instructor or instructors to lead a small group of adults with developmental disabilities in basic improv comedy lessons. This opportunity could be structured as an ongoing, semi-regular class or a short term project involving a few classes and ending with another performance. Either way, we expect this activity will make our folks very happy.
If you think this is in your wheelhouse, please email Nick at nreynolds@hihopecenter.org. Thank you for bringing the gift of laughter to Hi-Hope!

Mission Statement
Hi-Hope Service Center supports adults with developmental disabilities by building and sustaining individual independence.
Description
In 1960 the parents of six young students from Gwinnett County founded one of the first organizations in Georgia to teach children with intellectual disabilities. Under the capable leadership of Mrs.Vinie Lowry and support from many parents and the greater Gwinnett Community construction of a special needs school was completed in 1970. A special needs preschool was added subsequently. In the late 1990’s when all student programs, including the pre-school program, were integrated into the public schools, Hi-Hope became an adult only program.
Today, Hi-Hope Center carries on the founders' legacy of caring and innovation by supporting adults with developmental disabilities by building and sustaining their independence.
