BOB MIZER FOUNDATION
SPOKESPERSON WANTED

The Bob Mizer Foundation is looking for a sharp, energetic, charismatic, physique-oriented individual to represent The Bob Mizer Foundation and its quarterly art journal Physique Pictorial for The Mizer Foundation's social media outlets.

Requirements include:

* An engaging, camera-ready presence that can enthuse viewers while on video camera.

* Knowledge and skill in working with a video camera, lighting, and sound. You don't have to be Stanley Kubrick, but something beyond rudimentary knowledge is required.

* You also would need a rudimentary familiarity with the historical legacy of Bob Mizer as it applies to art, photography, male physique modeling, and how those media influenced GLBT culture.

Please contact the Mizer Foundation's art director, Frederick Woodruff for further details.

This position is an excellent opportunity for you to align your persona and online presence with that of the legendary Bob Mizer Foundation. And shore up your own audio-video sample reel.

Mission Statement

A photographic foundation that celebrates the power of controversial photography.

Description

The Bob Mizer Foundation, Inc. believes that the most disputed works of art are the most important to the progress of society.

Our mission is driven by the need to preserve Bob Mizer's archives, which include over one million photographic works, and his equipment, props, sets, and remaining personal effects. In addition, the foundation holds works by some of Mizer's contemporaries and successors, including George Quaintance, Bruce Bellas, and Dave Martin, and exhibits photographic shows by artists producing works that visually, politically, or otherwise push mainstream societal boundaries.
