We are holding a retreat for our refugee clients in the beautiful redwood forests of San Gregorio, California (near Half Moon Bay). We have reserved a beautiful retreat facility and have planned a weekend full of learning, exploring, and relaxing. As a volunteer you would help facilitate different aspects of the weekend as well learn, explore, and relax, right alongside our clients. The whole purpose of the retreat is to help refugees feel welcome, connect them to others in their new communities, and create lifelong friendships.

Cost per volunteer is $300, and a $39 online background check, and will be requested after your application is approved. Think of this as a humanitarian expedition however one that is held locally. Your donation will help cover the cost of our clients. Should you not be able to join, please consider donating just the same to ensure an unforgettable time for our refugee clients.

More information can be found here - https://www.athomehumanitarian.org/retreat.html.

Applications are due by August 15, 2018 - https://www.athomehumanitarian.org/application.html
