The U.S. Navy Seabee Museum is looking for a volunteer to assist the Education Director with administrative tasks. The administrative volunteer will be asked to:

  • Answer telephone calls and emails from visitors and patrons
  • Create and organization system; update and manage program paperwork
  • Assistance with monthly report preparation
  • Assist with coordination of programs and events
  • Assist with marketing activities i.e. conduct cold-calls
  • Schedule meetings, send out agendas and take meeting notes
  • Update social media sites
  • Other tasks as needed

Mission Statement

The mission of the U.S. Navy Seabee Museum is to select, collect, preserve and display historic material relating to the history of the Naval Construction Force, better known as the Seabees, and the U.S. Navy Civil Engineer Corps.

Description

The United States Navy Seabee Museum was established in 1947 and is the second oldest Navy museum in the Naval History and Heritages Command (NHHC) system. The Museum is under the Naval History and Heritage Command and supported by the CEC/Seabee Historical Foundation, which also supports the Seabee Heritage Center in Gulfport, Mississippi.
