Each morning we do a full cleaning of all cages, litterboxes, and rooms starting between 8:30 and 9 am. We are always looking to add another set of hands to the shift. Most volunteers have one or two days a week that they're on the schedule. Each morning we have 3-5 cleaners. A volunteer application can be filled out at our website with your availability (www.secondchancear.org). We'll match your availability with our needs!

Description
SCAR opened in 2010 after a group of animal lovers in the Littleton area realized a need existed for a no-kill cat shelter. The shelter has persisted as a volunteer-only facility for several years, and is still run and mainly staffed by volunteers though we put out our first hiring notice in July 2018. We care for more than 250 cats each year, offer monthly spay/neuter clinics, and sponsor low-cost shot clinics in the spring and fall.
