Volunteers will assist in manning our booth at the 23rd Annual Central Ave Jazz Festival. Kids Are 1st is a non profit that provides car seat safety, child fingerprint/photo ID kits, & teen driver distraction demonstrations.
Volunteers will interact with children & families assisting in a bean bag toss game and driver distraction education.
This is a very pleasant and well attended event with 3 musical stages with all day jazz and blues performers. It takes place on historical Central Ave. near the Dunbar Hotel.
The Dunbar Hotel hosted Duke Ellington, Cab Calloway, Billie Holiday, Louis Armstrong, Lionel Hampton, Count Basie, Lena Horne, and many other jazz legends.
Volunteers are needed on Sat. July 28 & Sun. July 29. Two shifts per day. 10:00am - 2:00pm & 2:00pm - 6:00 pm. Two volunteers per shift.

We are striving to reduce the number of injuries and deaths attributed to motor vehicle crashes, abductions and other sources of potential harm in Los Angeles County, Southern California and Illinois.
Description
KIDS ARE 1st is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to protect children and educate families through our ID program, child passenger safety seat checks, and teen impairment/distracted driving tasks, that we conduct at our safety and health events.
