Help VRAN scrub our mailing list of errors & clean up missing data. We need someone with exceptional typing & computer skills & access to the internet with their own PC to work with our subscriber mailing list. Strong attention to detail & internet research experience will help you find the right details to fill in the blanks in our nonprofit customer records. Volunteers will be required to sign a confidentiality waiver & provide references.

Prior experience with online customer mailing lists (such as MailChimp or Constant Contact) helpful, but not necessary; will train the right person. Flexible schedule, about 4-8 hrs./week should be sufficient. This is a work-from-home (or another location you choose with a computer & secure internet access), NOT an office-based position. We need this help ASAP, so don't wait--hit us up today if you are available & have the right stuff!

Mission Statement

The Vermont Rail Action Network works to modernize and upgrade Vermont’s railroads for better passenger and freight services. VRAN seeks to improve the environment and to ensure the economic viability of Vermont by expanding access to cost-effective rail transportation.

Description

Since 1972, the Vermont Rail Action Network has worked to modernize and upgrade Vermont's rail network for passengers and freight. We're the only non-profit organization in the US that promotes both freight and passenger rail.

As Vermont's leader in rail advocacy, we support expansion of rail services in and through Vermont for both passengers and freight rail.

VRAN coordinates our efforts with VTrans, state legislators, freight railroads and shippers, Amtrak, and many other organizations, including the National Association of Railroad Passengers, Trains in the Valley, Train Riders Northeast, the Empire State Passengers Association, and more.
