Denver Rescue Mission is changing lives in the name of Christ by meeting people at their physical and spiritual points of need with the goal of returning them to society as productive, self-sufficient citizens. Emergency services are designed to meet the immediate needs of people experiencing homelessness like meals, shelter, hygiene, acute medical care, and the most basic form of stability. Through these services, they build trust and relationships with the people they serve, encouraging them to consider long-term solutions.
The Crossing is Denver Rescue Mission’s largest location serving 130 New Life Program men and providing up to 100 rooms for STAR transitional program participants. Bible studies, case management, counseling, and meals allow families and individuals in their programs to save money and develop the life skills and relationships needed to maintain self-sufficiency.
WHAT WILL WE BE DOING?
The Project Helping group of volunteers will be serving food to men, women, and children at The Crossing, a transitional facility that houses the STAR Transitional Program and the New Life Program (NLP). As space is limited, make sure to register before participating in this great event!
