At Community Living, we offer programs and services for people with developmental disabilities. Volunteers will help deep clean at the Respite Center. The primary goal of the Respite Center is to provide periodic weekend relief to families whose child/family member has challenging behavioral needs. By helping with this project, volunteers will help staff to be able to spend more quality time with our participants. Volunteers can choose a Tuesday in October to clean in the a.m./early afternoon hours.
Cleaning includes sweeping, mopping, vacuuming the floors; cleaning the refrigerator inside and out; cleaning all kitchen counters and surface areas; wiping down all appliances; cleaning the stove inside and out; dusting in each room, etc. Volunteers should wear comfortable clothing and may be leaning, reaching, bending and/or lifting. This is a good project for a small volunteer group.
