During these uncertain times, how can we help?

When a family is in crisis, a child faces turmoil and the lack of safe, reliable childcare is a huge barrier to parents accessing the medical support and other services they need.
Join a stimulating, fun childcare facility providing support while parents and guardians go to medical appointments and procedures or visit family members in the hospital. Enhance the safety and connection for children 6 weeks to 10 years whose family may be experiencing a medical crisis.
Collaborate with our experienced staff to set-up the play area, supervise children of all ages, manage snack time & diapers changes, and lead special activities. Beyond this basic childcare, Train to interact with each child in a way that supports their resilience to any trauma they may be experiencing.
Past volunteers have enjoyed on how eager the children are to connect with them, and the diverse ages and backgrounds of children they get to meet. If you are consistent, eager to learn, skilled at connecting with children, and enjoy creating new relationships, we'd love to tell you more!
Commit to one half-day a week, Monday Friday mornings or early afternoons, for a minimum of 3 months to gain valuable skills working with a variety of children and get training in child development and crisis intervention.
