Summer Camp Counselor
Summer Leadership Camp Counselors NEEDED!
Day 2 of Camp: Tuesday, July 24th, 8am to 5pm
Orientation - Friday, July 20 st, 10am - 12pm
Location: Check in every day at Winter Park CIL, 720 N Denning Drive, Winter Park, FL 32789
We will be walking and utilizing public transportation to visit Lynx Transit, teaching students transportation skills and getting them a lynx bus ID
To promote independence and empowerment for youth of all abilities, CIL will be hosting a Youth Summer Empowerment Camp. We will be partnering with Lynx Buses, Seminole State College, and Publix Super Markets to provide an opportunity for students to experience real world opportunities for transportation and employment. Volunteer camp counselors will support CIL staff in working directly with youth camp participants to ensure a quality, hands on learning experience.
Camp counselors MUST:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Arrive promptly at 8am every day
- Have a can do attitude
- Have reliable transportation
Additional Requirements:
- Submit to a level 2 background screening and be approved prior to orientation
(cost of background screening to be incurred by CIL)
- Attend a 2 hour orientation with the Programs Manager at the Winter Park CIL Office the Friday prior to the start of camp
Camp counselors may sign up to volunteer for one week or for both weeks, but must commit to being present and on time from 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday, for the week(s) that they are scheduled.
