Our annual book sale has been a community event for over 30 years and involves approximately 3 tractor trailer loads of books! After the sale unsold items need to be put on pallets/packed for shipping and empty boxes need to be destroyed and/or packed up. This is a very active job and requires standing/walking on concrete as well as bending and some lifting.

The Shepherd's Center of Greater Winston Salem is an interfaith ministry that supports and promotes successful aging through educational, service, support and volunteer opportunities for older adults.
Description
The Shepherd's Center of Greater Winston Salem recruits volunteers who provide medical and grocery transportation, minor home repairs, as well as home visitation and respite care through our Faith in Action Program. Our senior center provides opportunities to participate in activites, fellowship and educational programs.
