Help at run/walk that supports Rio Salado Habitat

Have you visited the Rio Salado Habitat Restoration Area in Phoenix? It's an oasis along the river where the city is working to restore the natural wetland and riparian habitats of the historic Salt River, which once flowed year-round through Phoenix. There is a wonderful trail system throughout the habitat and this will be the location for the "Redneck Run Revisited" - a country-themed 5k and 10k run/walk. We'll be honoring winners in each distance by donating a tree to the habitat.

You can help out and get a taste of the Rio Salado Habitat by coming out to help. We need volunteers at the ramada to help with packet pickup, games, runner food, water and finisher medals; as well on the course to hand out water. Volunteer shifts are from 5:30 am to 9 am or 7 am to 10:30 am.

It will be a fun morning. We hope y'all can join us.
