We are currently searching for volunteers that are able to help support the staff at the Pregnancy Aid Center in College Park. We are looking for members of the community who are willing to dedicate their time to join our donation team. This would entail tasks such as helping to sort through the donations to ensure the safety and quality of the products we receive; dividing diapers, food/formula, and other goods to give away to those in need; and setting up donation drives when supplies are low or during the holidays. These donations are given to women and families in need of extra help and sustenance, so it is important that we have a team to maintain our program and efforts. Volunteers are welcome any time during the week, Monday through Friday, between 9 and 4. Ideally, we would like to have a volunteer here once a day to help with maintenance.

Description
Pregnancy Aid Centers, Inc. (PAC) is a private, non-profit, non-sectarian community-based clinic that provides women’s healthcare, behavioral health counseling and nutritional support for families. PAC was established in 1974 as a counseling center. In 1986, PAC expanded its services to include a prenatal care clinic. Family planning services were added in 1995 and, we started an adolescent outreach program. In 2000, PAC began breast and cervical cancer screening and treatment services for uninsured women over 40. To further assist uninsured, indigent women in our community, we added Title X family planning services in 2001. In 2005, PAC implemented a flat fee maternity program in response to a need for prenatal care for uninsured pregnant women. PAC also supplies food and clothing to provide material assistance to approximately 150 families per month. To sustain the programs run at PAC, the clinic has been rewarded many financial awards from different foundations and organizations who support our mission to provide healthcare to disadvantaged communities.
