Volunteer Job Title: Research Volunteer
General function of the position: To assist our Research Analyst in talking with neighborhood residents and collecting data on topics such as homeownership and neighborhood satisfaction
Department: Research Responsible to: Research Analyst
Time Required: 1 hour training and a minimum of 4 times of volunteering (4 hours each in the afternoon)
Responsibilities:
- Door to door surveying in a team within Milwaukee neighborhoods (spring and summer)
- Data entry if desired and available (fall and winter)
Qualifications or special skills needed:
- Commitment to the ministry of Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity
- Interpersonal and communication skills
- Comfortable interacting with diverse populations

Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity desires to serve as many people as possible through neighborhood revitalization. In order to understand the need and impact a neighborhood has or is in need of, we need a team willing to talk with residents so that we can further assist the neighborhood and report the impact that our work has be doing.
Training provided:

- Neighborhood tour and orientation

Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity seeks to eliminate poverty housing by working alongside future homeowners and volunteers to build and rehab simple, decent and affordable houses. Milwaukee Habitat also two donation-driven retail stores called the ReStores.
All proceeds from ReStore sales benefit Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity's mission of building simple, decent and affordable homes in partnership with families in need. The ReStore is stocked exclusively with donated items such as new and used furniture, appliances, kitchen cabinets, building materials and other home goods.
