Your van is so lonely. Just sitting there, missing the voices of happy children. We have the children (and moms) and they would be so happy for a ride upstate to visit Dad who is in one of the State's prisons. We can provide a social worker and an extra driver or two to go about 2 or 3 hours upstate. You will provide joy and a day of healing for a family (or 2 or 3) which have been fragmented by incarceration of Dad. We travel from Brooklyn to Sullivan or Ulster County. Any questions? Families, Fathers & Children provides supportive and direct services to children of inmates and their families. We assist in re-establishing and strengthening the father-child relationship.
Description
Families, Fathers & Children provides an on-site program in Central Brooklyn with opportunities for socialization, counseling, learning and working through issues connected with the father's incarceration. We have activities on Mondays from 4:00 - 8:00. Dinner is part of the program.
We also provide supervised transportation and social service support to correctional facilities for the families and children enrolled in our program.
