The Total Wellness Program is a FREE weight loss and chronic disease prevention program that exists to help adults lose weight and live better. We are looking for community and student volunteers to help with our upcoming free 8 week weight loss classes being held online AND in-person. There are multiple ways volunteers can get involved. In the online classes, volunteers can choose to track attendance and engage in the online class virtually from home for 1.25 hours each week or choose to come into our office for two hours each week of the program reviewing food and exercise journal entries the following day after class. In person classes, volunteers dedicate two hours per week at a class site of their choice helping weigh participants, track progress, comment on food journal entries and provide motivation and encouragement. This is an excellent opportunity to see how nutrition, public health, wellness, physical activity and lifestyle change all fit together in one program. Anyone interested in volunteering, please contact Lauren Yemane at or 405-419-4122.
