We invite you to join us for an evening of gathering and service for a Fish Fry fundraiser to benefit My Good Mourning Place, a volunteer organization serving the Milwaukee community. Our fundraising activities help to support the ongoing activities that we offer children, teens, and their family who come in hope of a brighter tomorrow, following the death of a loved one. This is a wonderful opportunity to offer your time and service to the community we live. Also, it's a great opportunity for those seeking to provide service hours, as a way of giving back to the community. Invite your family and friends too.

Mission Statement
Our mission is to help children and their families who have experienced grief due to the loss of a loved one. Families are offered support, understanding, empathy and education in a safe environment that is conducive to acceptance, respect, trust, and caring throughout the grief process.
Description
My Good Mourning Place is a bereavement center especially designed to help children and teens cope with the death of a loved one. Our services are volunteer-based and free to the families we serve. We are located on Milwaukee's south side and serve all of southeastern Wisconsin.
Children and teems attending our programs are invited to share their thoughts and memories in a safe, caring, and home-like environment. Our trained facilitators help them to communicate their feelings and integrate the loss into their livesby leading groups in various projects (art, drama, music, play). At the same time, the responsible adult accompanying attends their own support group.
