The Outrunning Senior Hunger 5K Run and Fun Mile needs your help! Come support the seniors of Montgomery County while cheering on those participating in our 5K as a route guide! With our awesome DJ providing beats and snacks provided at the finish line, you'll forget the fact that you had to get out of bed early on a Saturday! Not to mention, you'll be helping out a nonprofit that has been supporting the seniors of Montgomery County for over 50 years. Mission Statement

The mission of the Montco SAAC is to involve, enrich and empower adults 50 years of age and better to live as independently as possible in our communities.

Description

Montco SAAC is comprised of two senior center facilities and three meals-on-wheels programs.

At our centers, the over 50 population partake in numerous activites and classes to keep brain and body active and maintain social connections.

Seniors can enjoy lunch each day at both centers, located in Norristown and Ambler. We also run meals-on-wheels programs out of those two centers plus a program in Glenside. Those clients receive two meals each day, one hot and one cold. Not only are those folks receiving nutritious meals but also a visit from a caring volunteer who is a friendly face and checks in on them.

We strive to help folks live as independently as possible in our communities.
