The Guadalupe River Park Conservancy provides community leadership for the development and active use of the Guadalupe River Park & Gardens through education, advocacy and stewardship. The Rotary PlayGarden was the centennial gift to the City of San Jose from the Rotary Club and the Guadalupe River Park Conservancy agreed to assume responsibility for ongoing maintenance, without any additional support from the City of San Jose. We are looking for volunteers who are able to help on an ongoing basis within the PlayGarden on Mondays when it is closed for maintenance. Tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Weeding
  • Mulching
  • Pruning/general landscaping
  • General maintenance
  • Playground maintenance
  • Litter pickup

Ideally, you will be available to come on a weekly basis, but the Conservancy is open to hosting volunteers who can help on a more limited basis as well. Hours volunteered will be from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

If you genuinely enjoy working with others and working outdoors, then you might be the kind of person we are looking for! All the better if you have knowledge of horticulture, gardening, landscaping, or similar activities, though not necessarily required. Aged 18 and older.
