ROLE: Every Wednesday morning, our Volunteer Driver picks up hundreds of pounds of donated product from Specialty Produce. Upon its arrival into our facility, the "Waste Not SD" Sort Volunteer helps us clean, glean, and weigh the produce.
PURPOSE: By donating their time, this Volunteer helps us organize our food rescue while our students are learning in the classroom. This extra "helping hand" allows our students to fully engage in the lesson plan each Wednesday without distraction.
