You are all invited to take part of this year Veterans Stand Down; we truly appreciate your agency participation and support.

WHY SHOULD YOU TAKE PART OF THIS EVENT?

According to the 2017 Point in Time count of Homeless in Oregon there were 1,251 homeless Veterans, 47% of them were living in some type of shelter while 43% reported living in unsheltered locations.

The Mid-Willamette Valley Veteran Stand Downs seek to address some of these issues by providing services such as food, clothing, health screenings, Veterans Administration (VA) and Social Security benefits counseling, and referrals to a variety of other necessary services, such as health care, housing, employment, and substance use treatment. We cannot do this alone which is why we need your support to make this a successful stand down.
