Valley Crest is proud to welcome volunteers and community members to join us for the Peach & Dahlia Festival on August 18th! This festival offers neighbors opportunities to explore the farm, complete crafts, pick delicious peaches and gorgeous dahlias, compete in fun competitions, play games and SO MUCH MORE. All income from this event will support the mission of Valley Crest.
We need volunteers to help out with set up, various jobs throughout the festival and break down after the event. The volunteering is completed in shifts of 9am-12noon (set up), 12-2:30pm, 2:30-5pm (during event) and 5-7pm (break down). During the event, volunteers will be assigned to tasks such as ticket collection, parking direction, craft assistance, PYO assistance and more. Volunteers will be able to choose the tasks that they would prefer to help with.

Mission Statement
Valley Crest Farm & Preserve grows and donates fresh produce to help people in need, maintains its farm and forest for education and recreation, and encourages respect for farms and nature.
Description
Valley Crest was founded with the local community in mind. Originally a family farm built to keep the founder's kin close and engaged, it was quickly realized that this beautiful property could be a resource for the greater Hunterdon County community.
Through the formation of a dedicated board, a three-pronged mission was born. Valley Crest would provide donations of fresh produce to local food pantries, offer opportunities for outdoor recreation to all, and provide educational programming to students of all ages focused on sustainability. Each of these prongs relate back to two values celebrated at Valley Crest; community and sustainability. By offering pick your own produce and educational classes to the public, Valley Crest welcomes neighbors to explore the farm and interact with the land from which their food is grown.
