The Project HEAL - North Texas Chapter is seeking warm, friendly, and passionate volunteers in the DFW area to join their Chapter as a Communities of HEALing Committee Member.
As the chapter moves closer to bringing Communities of HEALing (a peer-support program) to DFW, we are seeking 5-7 volunteers to help complete necessary tasks that have to be completed before the program can be launched locally.
Some of the primary tasks involved:
- Promoting the Chapter & Communities of HEALing in the community
- Outreach for the remaining donations needed to bring this program to DFW
- Assisting with a Community Needs Assessment
- Help advertise and market the program
- Work with the other 5-7 committee members
- Attend Chapter Meetings
- Other tasks that may come up in the process
- Assist with brainstorming/planning fundraising and awareness
All Chapter Committee members require a 12-month commitment from volunteers. The time commitment for this role can be somewhat flexible and will not exceed more than 5 hours per week.
This is a great opportunity for anyone in DFW with an interest in helping people affected by eating disorders and body image issues.
