Clark County Wetlands Park is seeking volunteers to host the information desk at the Nature Center Exhibit Hall. Volunteers greet visitors, provide information, and answer questions. Volunteers also engage visitors and help them connect to the outdoor world through interactive exhibits and educational interpretive activities.
Volunteer shifts are 9:00 am to 12:30 pm or 12:30 pm to 4:00 pm and volunteers are needed seven days a week, year round.
You should enjoy engaging people of all ages and enthusiastic about nature. You do not need to be able to identify the flora and fauna of the park, but please be willing to attend additional trainings to build your knowledge.
Come to a Volunteer Orientation Class on Saturday, August 11 to start the volunteer process. The Volunteer Orientation Class is for multiple volunteer jobs and includes an overview of how Wetlands Park came to be, what purposes the Park services, the programs and services we offer, and a tour of the Wetlands Park Nature Center.
You can decide whether to become a volunteer either before or after you attend this class. All volunteers must undergo a Clark County Background Check. Youth ages 12-15 may volunteer with a guardian; youth ages 16-17 may volunteer independently with guardian permission. A commitment of 8 hours per month for at least six months is requested.
Please RSVP by email to: wetlands@clarkcountynv.gov or call (702) 455-7522.
