Clark County Wetlands Park is seeking Education Facilitator volunteers, who will lead small groups of elementary school-age children on nature-themed Field Trips through the Wetlands Park Nature Preserve. All Field Trips take place on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, October-April. This is an outdoor volunteer opportunity.
You should enjoy engaging kids and helping them discover the wonders of the outdoor world. You do not need to be able to identify the flora and fauna of the park, but please be willing to attend additional trainings to build your knowledge.
Come to a Volunteer Orientation Class on Saturday, August 11 to start the volunteer process. The Volunteer Orientation Class is for multiple volunteer jobs and includes an overview of how Wetlands Park came to be, what purposes the Park services, the programs and services we offer, and a tour of the Wetlands Park Nature Center.
You can decide whether to become a volunteer either before or after you attend this class. All volunteers must undergo a Clark County Background Check. For this opportunity, volunteers must be 18+. (Wetlands Park has other opportunities for youth 16+.)
Please RSVP by email to: wetlands@clarkcountynv.gov or call (702) 455-7522.
