We're seeking help from a graphic design professional to illustrate the impact plan and goals we have for working with "resilience hub" community centers including:
- A community center in the lower 9nth ward in New Orleans and;
- Two community centers in NYC that Global Green has provided with solar and battery back up in case of emergency.
Here's more detail on the projects:
Solar for Sandy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=281Xbww9D-E
Climate Action Center: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f2fM5E2Pgto
These can be either done in an infographic style or more of a conceptual / symbolic style. Global Green's staff will meet with the volunteer in person (if in NYC) or by phone and discuss a strategy and then the volunteer will create the design. The graphics will be used for a number of purposes including internal communications, for fundraising, in our newsletter, on globalgreen.org and in annual reports or other reporting. We're also looking to use design to show some of the linkages between our work in NYC and nationally.

Description
Global Green has influenced more than $20 billion dollars worth of building construction by encouraging the integration of green building and sustainability practices, and we’ve educated millions of people about climate-friendly solutions through our five annual events, including the green event of the year, our Pre-Oscar Party. Our impact has been felt across the country, particularly in areas affected by disasters such as Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans where we led green rebuilding efforts and continue to provide assistance and resources to local residents.
